Kristen Rose 18, lives in Bristol TN with her parents and older brother Joshua, and is a senior at Tennessee High School. During her high school years as a “Viking”, Kristen’s activities have included Basketball, Soccer, Student Council, Homecoming Court, and writing for the Maroon and White (school newspaper). One of Kristen’s favorite things are attending her school’s Friday night footballs games and dressing up as a “Viking” in support of her team.
Kristen is active in her community and church as well participating in youth programs and camps. Kristen was also involved a local theater production playing the role of Scarlet O’Hara. Most recently Kristen has been part of a group of high school girls that volunteer their time visiting local nursing homes. Kristen also volunteers at “Girls Inc.” a local program that helps young girls in the community to reach their potential regardless of their starting point.
Kristen hopes to use her time as Miss Tennessee Teen USA to make a positive impact in the lives of young girls through mentoring and personal appearances. Kristen hopes to convey a message to young girls that they do not have to succumb to negative peer pressure to be popular or successful. Kristen believes that young ladies can be strong and independent while still exhibiting a tender heart and southern charm.
